15 Afghanistan Gurkha Defender Extreme kukri is handmade Gurkha knives It is actually the merging of two Dessert Operational kukris,the OIFK ( Iraq ) and OEFK ( Afghanistan ).This 15 inch blade Afghanistan Gurkha Defender Extreme(AGDE)rosewood handle with full tank handle kukri is most genuine and popular khukuri because the Gurkha soldiers who were in Afghanistan,they can carry this blade.This khukuri (kukri) is new (Current) product of Ex-Gurkha Khukuri House issue to British gurkha for Afghanistan.This kukri not necessary to all British gurkhas who were in Afghanistan but who like to have a kukri thay can have & carry this kukri.This kukri handle other kukri then different for working very comfortable & sheath also matching with Afghanistan. environment,so this kukri is very famous like other gurkha kukri.Inspected regularly by an officer,this khukuri(kukri)is usually used during Training and Duty.This Afghanistan khukuri (kukri) has Recruiting Years and Country's name engrave on the left side of the blade(Afghanistan Gurkha Defender Extreme(AGDE) 2010).This engraving on the blade started because in the olden days the Gurkha Soldier used to forget their enlistment year due to too many wars.All Khukuris have two pockets on the back of the scabbard which hold a blunt steel called "chakmak" for sharpening the blade or for striking spark from flint and a little knife known as "karda" used for skinning small animals such as rabbits.The notch (kaura or kaudi) in the blade near the hilt of most khukuris serves as conduit for the blood on the blade to drip out,thus preventing it from soiling the hilt, as well as a device for catching and neutralizing and enemy blade.

Care instructions
Keep your blades healthy with proper regular cleaning after every use and the oil it with food safe mineral or coconut oil, it will prevent the coming on the blade which will keep your blade safe for life.
If you have seen rust accidentally then use WD40 to remove it .Never store your knife for long time in leather sheath. Leather can absorb water which will rust the knife. Always clean the blade after using and apply oil or wax (please use cooking oil on Chef Knife) before you store it, for its longer life and durability
The leather can be treated from time to time with a natural balm for leather products with bee wax.
Sharpening of the knife can be done with carborundum sanders or diamond sanders.
