This is of the latest product of Ex Gurkha Khukuri House(EGKH). It is 16 inch blade and the handle seems like eagle so called Eagle kukuri. The demand of this kukuri is quite higher in America so after we decided to keep the name of this kukuri as American Eagle Kukuri.This type of kukri can be used in cutting wood, meet, bamboo, fruits etc. Among Gurkha Knives it is the standerd size blade which is easily portable and can be given as a gift and take home from Nepal as a Souveneir. This is 10 inch blade American Eagle Kukri. American Eagle Kukri is heavy type khukuri (kukri) is similar to Angkhola khukuri (kukri) with groove on the blade, except the handle. The handle is unique compared to other khukuri, the metal of the blade in the handle area is flat (full tang) and can be seen all around the handle. Rosewood or buffalo horn are joined strongly from both sides with two rivets which makes it stronger than the other khukuri (kukri). This is the One of the Best working Kukri. The notch (kaura or kaudi) in the blade near the hilt of most khukuris serves as conduit for the blood on the blade to drip out, thus preventing it from soiling the hilt, as well as a device for catching and neutralizing and enemy blade. The handle is more practical, more beautiful.

Care instructions
Keep your blades healthy with proper regular cleaning after every use and the oil it with food safe mineral or coconut oil, it will prevent the coming on the blade which will keep your blade safe for life.
If you have seen rust accidentally then use WD40 to remove it .Never store your knife for long time in leather sheath. Leather can absorb water which will rust the knife. Always clean the blade after using and apply oil or wax (please use cooking oil on Chef Knife) before you store it, for its longer life and durability
The leather can be treated from time to time with a natural balm for leather products with bee wax.
Sharpening of the knife can be done with carborundum sanders or diamond sanders.
