This is the replica version of the kukri carried by Gurkhas in hand-to-hand combat in the Jungle of Burma during the 2nd World War. It is Historic Kukri. This Khukuri was originated in Nepal but later Indian Gurkha Army applied it. The blade is heavier and more curved then the current Kukri issued to Gurkhas. In the wartime, the sight of this formidable Khukuri in the hands of the Gurkha soldiers was enough to bring the enemy at their wit's ends. This Kukri is a very famous knife among tourists and collectors because of the fact that it was actually used by Gurkha soldiers/army during world wars. This Kukri knife played a very significant role in creating the history of the Gurkhas. This Kukri is also great to use for any kind of heavy or light duty. The water poured temper on the blade makes it very strong. The blade is made of highly graded carbon steel (mostly used in railway tracks).12" Blade with 5.5" Dark Rosewood handle, Overall length 17.5", thickness about 3/8" at Spine. Besides carrying the knife in war time, this blade can be used to chop wood or bone cleaning bushes.

Care instructions
Keep your blades healthy with proper regular cleaning after every use and the oil it with food safe mineral or coconut oil, it will prevent the coming on the blade which will keep your blade safe for life.
If you have seen rust accidentally then use WD40 to remove it .Never store your knife for long time in leather sheath. Leather can absorb water which will rust the knife. Always clean the blade after using and apply oil or wax (please use cooking oil on Chef Knife) before you store it, for its longer life and durability
The leather can be treated from time to time with a natural balm for leather products with bee wax.
Sharpening of the knife can be done with carborundum sanders or diamond sanders.
