About 9" Gurkha Ranger kukri, : -
This is 9 inch Nepal Army Ranger Rust Free kukri and EX-GURKHA KHUKURI HOUSE has endeavoured making this khukuri with a modification. This kukri is Current Issue to Nepal Army Commando Traning. This is 9 inch blade light blade kukri simmalr to Nepal Army service kukri but this is unpolished blade with both side sharp on the top of blade for commando tactical issue, on the handle there is blocker to secure for hand. The handle is made os rosewood with full tang blade. There is end of the handle deside is very nice it looks Army badge with 6 stars. The notch (kaura or kaudi) in the blade near the hilt of most khukuris serves as conduit for the blood on the blade to drip out, thus preventing it from soiling the hilt, as well as a device for catching and neutralizing and enemy blade.
Blade Size and Type : 9 inch(23cm) and rust free blade, Handmade.
Handle Size and Type : 5 inch (12.5cm) and Full tang handle.
Thickness Of Blade (Upper Spine) : 10 mm.
Belly Of Blade : 5 cm.
Circumference Of Handle : 4.5 Inch.
Material Used : Highly Graded Carbon Steel(car & jeep leaf spring, 5160) for blade. Water buffalo Leather for the Scabbard (inside), Rosewood for the handle, Pinewood for Scabbard(inside), Water proof nylon Scabbard (outside) Whitemetal and Laha(Nepali Traditional Glue).
Net Weight : 700 (28 Oz. Approx).
Hardness of steel : spine=22-25 RC, belly=45-46 RC, edge=54-55 RC.

Care instructions
Keep your blades healthy with proper regular cleaning after every use and the oil it with food safe mineral or coconut oil, it will prevent the coming on the blade which will keep your blade safe for life.
If you have seen rust accidentally then use WD40 to remove it .Never store your knife for long time in leather sheath. Leather can absorb water which will rust the knife. Always clean the blade after using and apply oil or wax (please use cooking oil on Chef Knife) before you store it, for its longer life and durability
The leather can be treated from time to time with a natural balm for leather products with bee wax.
Sharpening of the knife can be done with carborundum sanders or diamond sanders.
