This is 18" Chitlange 7mm Spine Light Version Hunting kukri - Full Tang Blocker Handle traditional farmer khukuri. Chitlang, a small hilly town, is situated in eastern part of Nepal. This type of khukuri is made in that place. Hence it is called Chitlange wooden khukuri. This is the newer, nicer and better version of the Chainpure khukuri. The shape/design of the knife is made like that of the Chainpure however with improved and superior execution. The forging of the blade with large bevel from the tip all the way down to the notch makes the kukri very special and rare as this is a difficult process of crafting even for the skilled craftsman costing him more effort and time. The large elongated bevel is forged to withstand the hardest blow, severe impact and to make cutting easier and more effective. Chitlange Superior is truly an all rounder; a collective, cutting and exhibiting item.
Specification of Kukri : This is handcrafted kukri therefore please note that each one might have slight variations in measurement.
Blade Size and Type : 18 Inches (45.72cm) Hand Forged , Highly Grade Carbon Steel 5160, polished Blade.
Handle Size : 6.5 Inches (16.5cm) full tang Blocker handle made of rosewood.
Overall length : 24.5 inches (62.23 cm) from tip of the blade to pommel of the handle (Aprox).
Material Used : Highly Graded Carbon Steel, Water Buffalo Leather for Scabbard(outside) and Rosewood for the Handle, Pinewood for the Scabbard (inside), Whitemetal and "Laha" (Nepali Traditional Glue) .
Weight : 1500 gms (60 Oz. Approx) with packaging, Net weight only khukuri is 1150 gms.

Care instructions
Keep your blades healthy with proper regular cleaning after every use and the oil it with food safe mineral or coconut oil, it will prevent the coming on the blade which will keep your blade safe for life.
If you have seen rust accidentally then use WD40 to remove it .Never store your knife for long time in leather sheath. Leather can absorb water which will rust the knife. Always clean the blade after using and apply oil or wax (please use cooking oil on Chef Knife) before you store it, for its longer life and durability
The leather can be treated from time to time with a natural balm for leather products with bee wax.
Sharpening of the knife can be done with carborundum sanders or diamond sanders.
